NSW Police believe they have a person of interest after CCTV showed someone fleeing the unit where a woman was found dead with serious and severe injuries. 9News
Police searched the surrounding area for clues including blood spots, clothes and potentially a murder weapon as part of their investigation.CCTV shows person fleeing a unit on a motorised bike before Erin Gilbert's body was found.
"Today, strike force investigators... conducted a number of ground searches in the Merrylands area, including the vicinity of the crime scene," NSW Police said in a statement."I go to the back window thinking she's asleep, she's just not woken up and I threw a rock at the window to try and get her attention," he said."I walked to the front, pulled a bin up and climbed over the balcony.Nic Gilbert was performing CPR when officers arrived.
