The fatal wrong-way crash in the early morning hours of Aug. 24 killed a groom-to-be and his cousin.
NYPD officials are looking for the man who was allegedly driving a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado southbound in the wrong lanes of the Henry Hudson Parkway near West 165th Street at around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24.The Chevrolet pickup struck a northbound Dodge Challenger being driven by Kirk Walker, 38. Walker’s cousin Robert McLaurin, 40, was in the passenger seat.
Police said the Chevrolet also hit an Audi S3, whose driver and passenger were taken to a local hospital in stable condition. After the Chevrolet came to a stop, police said the driver and a 21-year-old passenger got out of the car, which burst into flames. The passenger stayed at the scene of the crash, while the driver fled.
