If a vehicle is to be used in the UK for more than six months it must be registered with the DVLA and display UK number plates
Officers pulled over the silver Vauxhall over the weekend when it was being driven on a motorway in the North West. The car was displaying foreign number plates despite being driven in the UK since 2009.
Visitors to the UK can usually use a vehicle with foreign number plates for up to six months in a 12-month period. This can be a single visit or multiple shorter visits.
