Bellfield allegedly confessed to detectives who visited him in prison that he killed Elizabeth Chau, who was 19 when she vanished 24 years ago

During the interview it is alleged the former nightclub bouncer, 54, named a location in west London where he claims to have disposed of Ms Chau’s body and pointed it out on a map,Ms Chau, a computer studies student at Thames Valley University, went missing from Ealing in west London on April 16 1999.
Bellfield is currently serving two whole-life terms at HM Prison Frankland for the murder of 13-year-old Milly Dowler, Marsha McDonnell, 19, and Amelie Delagrange, 22. A Met Police spokesperson said: “On Tuesday 9 May 2023, a 54-year-old male was interviewed under caution. Inquiries continue.“At this time we will not be providing an ongoing commentary.
