Police were called to Gladstone Road in Eccles, Salford, at around 9pm on Friday night after several reports that the dog was dangerously out of control and a threat to the public
An XL Bully dog was fatally shot by police after it became "dangerously out of control", assaulting a woman in Greater Manchester.
There has been one female casualty reported from the incident, who remains under ongoing treatment for her injuries. In addition, two males have been apprehended subsequent to their confrontation with officers at the location. A spokesperson for GMP illustrated the extreme scenario, pointing out the numerous notifications they received about the aggressive dog going rogue after which the XL Bully was put down as "the last possible option". The extent of damage suffered by the attacked woman remains uncertain, although she is currently undergoing treatment all the same, reports the Mirror.
