For one family, the year was memorable for the wrong reasons. On Tuesday 7 April, in the Cathays area of Cardiff, Carol Ann Stephens told her mother Mavis she was going out to play and left their house in Malefant Street.The disappearance would spark one of the biggest police operations in Wales.
