A third day of search efforts will continue on Tuesday (October 22)
Police have temporarily called off the search for a missing man at Dovestone Reservoir due to 'difficult conditions', with major efforts to resume for a third day on Tuesday .
A woman, aged in her late 20s, was rescued a short time later and treated for hypothermia, however the man, now named as Simon Daniels, has not yet been found.Emergency services were called just before 2.30pm on Sunday to reports of a man and woman in the water. A scene was erected as rescue teams flooded the beauty spot.
On Monday morning , a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed that there had been no updates in the search overnight and that efforts would be continuing for a second day.
