So dangerous
A van was stopped by police whilst travelling along a key Nottinghamshire road due to having an unsecure load. The vehicle, which was carrying a heap of scrap metal that was not secured at the back, was travelling on the A1 near Worksop.
Nottinghamshire Rural Police shared an image of the van on Twitter on Sunday, February 5. "Nottinghamshire Roads Policing colleagues and a recent stop with this insecure load seen travelling along the A1 near Worksop," it said alongside a shocked face emoji. What the law says about unsecure loads Under Section 40A Road Traffic Act 1898 it is an offence to use a vehicle or trailer on a road if it involves a danger of injury to any person. This includes any situations where the weight, position or distribution of a load, or how it is secured, involves this danger.
