Jennifer Aniston was woken up in the middle of the night by police officers who showed up at her Bel-Air home
Police surrounded the home of Jennifer Aniston after a prank caller rang the force. Officers turned up at the Friends actresses home in California, at the weekend, after a crisis call for help was taken. The 55-year-old was, according to TMZ, woken up by police officers who showed up at her Bel-Air home after an anonymous person called the police and asked them to do a welfare check on a friend.
But the Los Angeles Police Department said the case isn't closed as they are now investigating the incident further, adding that they are now treating it as swatting - which happens when someone makes a false report of a serious incident so that the SWAT team visits someone's house or another location in a bid to help.
