No arrests have been made so far and officers are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.Detective Sergeant Neil Moss, of Bolton CID, said: “I understand the concern this will raise in the local community, but I can reassure residents that we are investigating this crime with all the resources available to us.
"Either way it is a distressing incident, and we are determined to find the person responsible. We have an early distinctive description that the suspect was wearing full blue overalls with a grey hooded jumper underneath. “I would encourage anyone in the local area who saw something or has any dashcam or doorbell footage of someone acting suspicious to please get in touch in full confidence, as any bit of detail could be the breakthrough we need.” Anyone with information can contact GMP on 0161 856 5757, quoting incident 1351 of September 7, 2023, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
