Motorists in Newcastle are being breathalysed to stop them driving after drinking on planes.
Officers have been carrying out breathalyser tests on drivers as they leave Newcastle AirportDurham and Northumbria Police launched the operation following the, who were killed by a drink driver in May.Det Con Natalie Horner said she wanted people to know the roads around the airport were "no longer a get-out zone" for those flaunting the rules."We want to show people that we will not bypass you, you will get captured if you decide to get off a plane and drive home.
