Mark Lloyd threw a pan of boiling water at police when he was caught

A drug dealing "cuckoo" took over a bedbound woman's house, then threw a pan of boiling water at police when he was caught.

He threw a bag he was carrying into another room, and attempted to flush his mobile phone down a downstairs toilet before being detained by PC France. There followed “a lengthy struggle”, in which Lloyd punched the PC in the face before being pepper sprayed and taken away. "The police went in and found the drugs. She then indicated a DVD case in the room… £1,100 was found inside it. There were also tick lists found in the room with amounts indicated on there.”

Des Lennon, defending, said Lloyd, who has three previous convictions for five offences including assault and possession of a bladed article, was "greatly sorry and ashamed" of his actions. He said: "In the right circumstances, this is a defendant more than capable of staying out of trouble and more than capable of behaving himself.
