Beyonce's UK tour will get under way on Wednesday before she performs in Edinburgh, Sunderland and London over the coming weeks as part of her Renaissance World Tour. But a controversial technology will be used to scan city centre crowds at the start of her run in Wales.
Police will use controversial live facial recognition technology to scan crowds in Cardiff city centre for the start of Beyonce's UK tour.
The pop sensation will perform at the capital's Principality Stadium as part of her Renaissance World Tour - her first in seven years.Police confirmed on Tuesday they will be using live facial recognition technology"to support the policing" of the concert. The force said facial recognition is not a condition of entry and it will not be in use at the stadium.
