Police going undercover at tram stops to crack down on anti-social behaviour

Police are going undercover at tram stops in Beeston and Chilwell to try and crack down on ongoing anti-social behaviour [ASB] problems. The force have made it their three-month priority in the area to improve behaviour which is coming from a "small minority of juveniles".

In an update to the public, Inspector Mike Ebbins updated the public on exactly what is being done to solve the problem - including increasing patrols around the area. They have urged parents to stress to their children exactly what is acceptable and combat any poor behaviour from their children. Insp Ebbins said: "Our new local crime priority for the next three months will be Anti-Social Behaviour. I have spoken publicly about the rise in ASB in Beeston and the efforts that are underway to put a stop to this. We are aware this problem is caused by a small minority of juveniles who are affecting the daily life of our residents.

"Wider ASB patrols will also be conducted across the whole Broxtowe area to maintain presence on hot spot locations."
