Horrifying footage showed the moment a man was attacked with metal poles in the road
Police have issued an update after a violent street brawl on a Liverpool street . Shocking footage from Lower Breck Road in Anfield showed the moment two men, armed with what appeared to be metal poles, striking another man on the floor in the road with force. Following the incident police have confirmed four people have been arrested. Emergency services were called to reports of the assault yesterday, Tuesday October 22, at around 4pm.
It happened in a busy area of Anfield and was witnessed by members of the community, including children on their way home from school. Such violence is absolutely abhorrent and will not be tolerated. 'Four arrests have now been made and we will continue to respond to all information to take further positive action. The victims are recovering and will be supported as we seek to establish what led to such shameful scenes.
