A suspect held following a dramatic swoop on an electric Jaguar whose brakes had reportedly failed on the M62 has been released 'pending further enquiries', say police.
Yesterday, the Manchester Evening Newsreported that a 31-year-old man from Bolton had been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and causing a public nuisance. Today, a spokeswomen for Merseyside Police said: "He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries." It was previously reported that there were long delays on the motorway between J11 for Birchwood and J12 for Eccles after the police to had to help a driver whose electric car's brakes failed.
