Police have issued a stern warning after several instances of youngsters being seen playing on frozen water in different locations across Greater Manchester. Pictures shared on social media showed groups of teenagers on frozen canals and lakes, prompting concerns about their safety. Officers emphasized the dangers of frozen water, stressing that even if it looks thick, it can become thin very quickly and crack, leading to serious accidents.

Greater Manchester Police said they received a further report of youths on frozen water at Dover Lock at 1pm today .
