Steve Barclay will be speaking to Kay Burley amid reports that convicted criminals could avoid jail from next week because prisons are full, and The Times reported that one judge was concerned convicted rapists might be left on bail rather than being jailed.
We're speaking now to Health Secretary Steve Barclay, and we started by asking him whether the Wembley arch should be lit up in blue and white in support of Israel around the England match against Australia tomorrow.
There has been some consternation that that has not yet happened, given that the arch was lit up in the colours of Ukraine following Russia's invasion and in the colours of France following the Paris terror attack.Asked if Wembley should be lit up, Mr Barclay said: 'I think we should make clear our strong support for Israel. We stand with Israel.'He cited parliament and No 10 Downing Street being lit up in those colours.
