Additional support including surge testing, tracing, isolation support and maximising vaccine uptake, will be rapidly deployed in six areas in the UK to tackle an increase in Delta variant cases. The support will be introduced in Birmingham, Blackpool, Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Liverpool City Region and Warrington to suppress the dominant variant.
