Rishi Sunak is facing his last session of PMQs before the conference recess, after it was revealed the economy contracted 0.5% in July - worse than expected.
Rishi Sunak is on his feet in the Commons to take questions from Sir Keir Starmer and MPs from across the House.
Speaking on the final day of the TUC conference in Liverpool, she shared some words of wisdom she believes he'd have for her and the Labour Party as a general election approaches. "Working people are depending on us, work together, don't argue, it's within reach, we can do it." In her speech to the TUC, she thanked the trade union movement for standing up for workers during COVID and the cost of living crisis.
On Sky News this morning, health minister Maria Caulfield insisted there was no indication of a recession and that she was confident it was not on the horizon. The minister used her best efforts to blame the shrinking economy on widespread public sector strikes, reiterating that large pay rises were unreasonable and inflationary.
And with alleged Chinese spies infiltrating the heart of British democracy, Sir Keir might not be the only one keen to grill Mr Sunak on the reports of Chinese spies at the heart of Westminster.
