Watch live: President Joe Biden meets Rishi Sunak in Downing Street, with talks likely to focus on the war in Ukraine
US President Joe Biden has arrived at Number 10 for talks with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
Dame Caroline Dinenage, who chairs the Culture, Media and Sport Committee, says she is concerned the corporation has taken a"very long time" to investigate the claims. The reason is this visit is mainly about President Biden's meeting with the King, after his non-attendance at the coronation, and tomorrow's NATO summit in Lithuania. There is no joint press conference with Mr Sunak, and the readouts of the meeting from Number 10 and the White House are likely to tell one side of the story.
Both leaders are broadly on the same page about supporting Ukraine militarily - and rallying other NATO members to do so. That agenda is not a given after the 2024 US elections. President Biden will meet with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in the next hour, with talks likely to focus on the war in Ukraine, before travelling to Windsor for tea with King Charles.Another member of the Scottish National Party has confirmed he will step down as an MP at the next general election.
Rishi Sunak has been urged to guarantee all babies and toddlers get the basic early help needed from maternity services to childhood education and care no matter where they live in the UK. Unicef said the Baby and Toddler Guarantee should include"accessible, quality, and fully resourced" maternity services, health visiting support, mental health support, Send provision, infant feeding support and early childhood education and care.
"But I think once the investigation has happened and we know what the facts of the matter are, there are questions to be asked here about what the BBC has done and the delay that seems to have taken place in them taking action of this.
