Polling stations will only be open for a set amount of time on May 2
The local elections of 2024 are set to take place on Thursday, May 2, with polling stations across England opening their doors for voters to decide who will represent them in their local councils.
In Greater Manchester, all ten boroughs have seats available. Additionally, mayoral elections will be held in Bedford, Leicester, Mansfield and Middlesbrough.It's important to note that voters will need to bring ID with them following rules brought in prior to the last local elections. Only certain types of photographic identification, such as passports and driving licences, will be accepted.
Your polling card will indicate your local polling station, or you can locate it on your local council's website by entering your postcode.
