The co-owner of Polpetta has revealed how the new Italian bakery and coffee shop he is set to open with his business partner was an impulse decision to cheer her up . The owners of the deli, ‘Meatball’ Molly McCann and Joel, are set to open Mol & Joel’s Rolls on Brodie Avenue in Mossley Hill in eight weeks and have teased a 'few secrets.' The best friends shared the huge announcement about the new Italian bakery and coffee shop on Instagram earlier this month.
I did it without telling her but it was the best thing I knew she would be over the moon, she changed her whole demeanour as soon as I told her about it. “When Molly loses a fight she grieves, it’s mentally so tough and it takes a lot out of you. I knew she needed something to get her teeth into. As soon as she found out that we had that little surprise she was made up, she is flying now.
