A POSH new housing scheme has banned poorer kids from a playground set aside for richer families who live in the same development. The Baylis Old School complex in South London was finished in 2016…

The social housing tenants area is in a block called Wren Mews.

Daniella Rea, who lives in the social housing block with her husband and three kids, claims she was told by a caretaker that the main play area was just for the children of homeowners. She added: “We were told we could use all the play areas. This was important to me because my son is in a wheelchair and he has a special bike that I wanted to let him use.”Warwick Estates, which looks after the private part of the development, confirmed that kids from the social housing could not access the main play area.

“Lambeth councillors have written to the developers, urging them to look into this as a matter of urgency, to ensure that facilities are made available to all residents. We will continue to lobby on their behalf and ensure the management company running the site listen to its residents.
