Knowsley will be the third Popeyes restaurant in Merseyside
Louisiana chicken chain Popeyes is recruiting staff for a Knowsley restaurant. Popeyes specialises in fried chicken and has become a popular fast food restaurant since it launched in 1972. Popeyes opened its first Liverpool store on Lord Street in November 2022. Recently, vinyl advertising appeared in the windows of a New Mersery Retail Park unit confirming the arrival of a second venue.
The postcode is a stone's throw away from the Academy Business Park area which already features fast food chains such as Wendy's and Subway. The Liverpool ECHO has contacted Popeyes for a comment. Items on its menu include the Popeyes chicken sandwich, which includes the chain's 12-hour marinated chicken and original Southern biscuits and gravy.
