These names took the biggest tumble in 2024 – and might just be on their way out
Baby names go in and out of popularity depending on various factors. Celebrities are a big influence - if an A-lister is rising in prominence or has named their child something particularly unique, we may see a surge in that name.
BabyCenter noticed a fall in boy names ending in '-aden' last year, and it seems those names are continuing to fall, with Jaden falling 162 spots. The name last shone in 2002 - showing it might be two decades out of date. If you're considering a more retro name for your child, it may be a blessing or a curse to hear that names from the '80s and '90s are not that sought-after anymore.
Again, maybe surprising considering the dominance of Taylor Swift in the pop-sphere, and the massive cult following she has accumulated over the years which might have pushed fans to name their babies after her.
