A Greater Manchester pub is set to reopen following an 18-month closure and major £350,000 revamp. The Hesketh Tavern, in Cheadle Hulme in Stockport , will reopen at the start of October.
Plans for The Hesketh include regular live music, quiz nights, a monthly comedy night and televised sports on Sky and TNT. And for those interested in pool and darts, they’re keen to set up teams and for them to compete in local leagues. Inside, the pub will benefit from a top-to-toe redecoration and seating for an additional 10. There will be three zones with four high-definition TVs throughout.
The pub's food menu will feature pub classics such as burgers, fish and chips and grilled steak, gammon and chicken. A home comforts section will include dishes like Steak & Ale Pie, Hunter Chicken and Mac n Cheese. Pawel Galazka said: “We can’t wait to become part of the community, and nor can our dogs! Our two lovely dogs, Lola and Nora, love the park next door.
