Owners of the Michelin Guide listed restaurant have said they can never reopen at their 'home', but have teased a 'new menu under a new banner'
A much-loved restaurant in Glossop has confirmed it will never reopen more than a year after a devastating fire gutted the premises - but owners say they will be back 'under a new banner'.
But the owners, chef Paul Sykes and his partner Jess Hine, have confirmed that there have been 'unmovable obstacles that cannot be overcome' - meaning they will 'not be able to reopen at our old home of 54 High Street West'. Earlier this year, the Manchester Evening News reported how the neighbourhood favourite was yet to receive ‘a single penny’ from its insurance company while being 'desperate to reopen'. Now, in an Instagram post on the @hyssopglossop account, shared on October 20, the owners wrote: "Hi Everyone ❤️
"This decision has not been made lightly, and for the sake of professionalism, we will not be going into details online to the heartache we have been put through. Many of those close to us know the real story of what’s been happening over the past year, and it’s been tough. The Two Hares is located at 3 High Street East. The owners say the deli and cafe will retain its breakfast, lunch and snack options, but will then offer an à la carte menu 'by night' - and bookings are already open for the end of the month.
