Police remain stationed outside The Roll Shop where masonry appears to have fallen. The building has been deemed unsafe by the force who have erected a cordon. Glasgow Cityspokesperson said:"Officers from the council’s Building Standards team have been in attendance to assist in the response to what is a partial collapse of a rolls shop in Polmadie - heras fencing is being put around the building with the footpath there closed.
"I understand that the building owner is in contact with his insurer about instructing an engineer to carry out necessary works on the property." Police said no one has been injured during the incident but have closed the road which is a main route to access the M74.spokesperson added: “round 1.30pm on Friday, June 9, police were called to a report of an unsafe building on Polmadie Road at Hamilton Street.
“No one was injured however police are in attendance and the building has been cordoned off with diversions being put in place.
