Portugal boss Roberto Martinez has sprung a bit of a surprise here. The former Wigan, Everton and Belgium manager seems to have gone for a three-man defence, with Manchester United's Diogo Dalot coming in alongside Pepe and Ruben Dias. Nuno Mendes and Joao Cancelo will play as wing backs.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who starts up front at the relatively young age of 39, becomes the first player to appear in six European Championship finals tournaments. He already holds the records for most games, goals and wins. Czechia line up in their own version of a 3-5-2, which is probably why Martinez has done so. Captain Tomas Soucek is fit to start at the base of the midfield after his knee injury.
