Portland Port and Source Galileo, a Norwegian renewable energy firm, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on the development of the PortWind wind farm. The project, located 22 km off the Devon and Dorset coast, could potentially generate enough electricity to power over three million homes with 132 turbines. Construction and operational headquarters, along with support accommodation, are planned to be based at Portland Port.
