CommSec’s Craig James says there are “potential benefits” coming out from the 2023 budget.
Treasurer Jim Chalmers delivered the 2023 federal budget on Tuesday night, which forecasts a $4.2 billion surplus.
“There is build-to-rent schemes, there’s also housing affordability … that should be good for the builders,” Mr James told Sky News Australia. “Your putting dollars in people’s pockets with things like the energy discount and the electrification elements as well. “The potential is that consumer discretionary … may see a little bit of a boost in market trading today.”
