A power cut struck the SK3 postcode area of Stockport in Greater Manchester on Tuesday night, leaving almost 600 properties without electricity. Electricity North West engineers were dispatched to investigate the cause of the outage, which is believed to have been triggered by an unexpected incident on a high voltage cable.
