Alien Romulus Xenomorph SDCC
Summary Prey director Dan Trachtenberg beams in a question for Alien: Romulus director Fede Alvarez at San Diego Comic-Con, asking who would win in a fight between a xenomorph and a Predator. Alien vs. Predator and its sequel pitted two of moviedom’s most famous extra-terrestrial entities against one another, in a big screen fight to the finish.
I think the question should be more precise. Is it our xenomorph vs. the Predator from the first film? That’s a more fair question. Would it be Grid vs...that sort of thing, you know? You gotta be specific. Not xenomorphs in general vs. Predators in general. You gotta be more specific. Which xenomorph and which Predator. If I go Big Chap vs. the Predator from the first movie? I’ll go with Big Chap.
It cannot be said that those two AVP films generated a huge hunger for more xenomorph vs. Predator showdown movies. Indeed, the Alien and Predator franchises have each individually seen their fortunes rise and fall in the years since Requiem, casting doubt on whether modern day audiences have much appetite for either.
