A hospital held an adorable ‘graduation’ ceremony for premature babies after they became well enough to leave its intensive care unit.
Adventist Health Lodi Memorial Hospital in Lodi, California dressed the tiny infants in gowns and mortarboard caps like adult students, and even handed them a special graduation certificate. Adventist Health held the ceremony to celebrate the opening of their new neonatal intensive care unit which offers more specialized care for babies born prematurely.It means babies born before 38 weeks who need an IV, antibiotics or blood sugar treatment no longer have to be sent to different hospitals, further away form their homes and families.
