This article provides a comprehensive overview of the Premier League Darts tournament, including its history, format, participant selection, and key features.

Premier League Darts is an annual PDC tournament established in 2005. Although not one of the seven ranked majors, it is considered one of six non-ranking television tournaments. Matches are held every Thursday from February to May in various venues across the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Europe, including Germany and the Netherlands.

The tournament features eight of the world's top players, with the top four from the PDC Order of Merit qualifying automatically, and four wildcards selected by the PDC. The 2025 lineup will be announced live on Sky Sports News on January 6th. The format has evolved over the years. From 2019 to 2020, a 'challenger' competed against one of the regular players. Since 2022, however, the format has shifted to an eight-person knockout bracket contested each night. Players face off against each other once in weeks 1-7 and again in weeks 9-15, with weeks 8 and 16 determined by league standings. Points accumulated from each night's performance determine their position on the Premier League table
