Bobby Madley returns four years after being sacked
Bobby Madley will return to refereeing Premier League football more than four years after being sacked this weekend when he takes charge of Brentford vs Wolves.
The official was removed from his role by the Professional Game Match Officials Limited in 2018 after sending a ‘discriminatory’ video to a friend.Madley left the United Kingdom for Norway after the decision and carried on his career in the country’s lower leagues. But he became a ‘National List’ referee again in February 2020, officiating matches in League One and League Two.Advertisement
