Staff Reports After a lengthy rain delay, Houston Academy scored three runs in the first inning and Whit Price shined on the mound in sparking a 6-1 win over Oakman in the decisive third game of a Class 3A state playoff series in Oakman Saturday afternoon.
In HA’s first inning, Harrison Milanowski, Cam Dyer and Adam Boyd all drew a walk to load the bases with one out. Price singled to center to score Milanowski. Brayden Eubanks grounded out to the second baseman with William Lisenby, a courtesy runner for Dyer, scoring. Boyd scored the third run on a passed ball.
