After helping Ogden to a state soccer championship, Ben Points is turning his focus to football.
The senior finished the 2024 season with 14 goals and nine assists.Ogden High soccer had been a bit of a juggernaut in the early 2000s, winning half of the boys’ Class 3A championships in a six-year span. But those days, at least from the perspective of this year’s Tigers squad, were long in the past.
Tradition was resurrected, however, when Ogden took the 3A title this season with a 4-1 victory over Manti in the tournament finale. One of the goal scorers was Ben Points, whose 3-point game that day brought his totals to 14 goals and nine assists for the 2024 campaign.Points also did some kicking for the Tigers’ football team in the fall, before deciding to stick strictly with soccer.
