March 01, 2022 - 09:25 GMT Danielle Stacey Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has personally thanked the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for their message of support amid Russia's invasion.
Olena and I are grateful to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge @RoyalFamily that at this crucial time, when Ukraine is courageously opposing Russia's invasion, they stand by our country and support our brave citizens. Good will triumph.It comes after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also issued a message on their Archewell charity website, condemning Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine.
Buckingham Palace said in a statement that the monarch, 95, had accepted the Foreign Secretary's advice to delay the event.
