Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., along with nearly 50 friends, family and supporters, spent the evening sailing in San Diego on Thursday. Kennedy and his wife, actress Cheryl Hines, sailed from the San Diego harbor to Coronado and near Downtown San Diego, hosted by local boat charter Aolani Catamaran. The event included March Madness sweepstakes winners, auction winners, and ticket purchasers.

The Independent candidate for President of the United States was joined by nearly 50 supporters, family and friends of the 2024 campaign during the catamaran sailing. “Three brothers flew all the way from Puerto Rico for this event, as their mother who passed away had always wanted to meet Mr. Kennedy,” the Kennedy campaign told CBS 8.Thursday's visit marks at least the second visit from Kennedy to San Diego County in less than a year. In May 2023, Kennedy made a Memorial Day campaign stop at Humphrey’s on the Bay on Shelter Island.

He also called for the return of the 'peace dividend, stressing the need to focus on the country's middle class, which he said is drowning in debt.He also criticized the current administration for"spending money that we don't have."
