The Ferret in Preston hosts a night of rock and roll music featuring Scottish garage rockers The Primevals, Glasgow veterans James King and The Lonewolves, and Ajay Saggar's psychedelic project Bhajan Bhoy. Local acts Walter Mitty's Head and Palace Thieves complete the bill.

Six parts of Preston ’s history and heritage we as a city could make more ofStoried Scottish garage rockers The Primevals are heading to Preston this weekend for a gig at The Ferret.The Primevals are long-time favourites of comedian Stewart Lee, who commissioned the band to write the song for his current nationwide tour, Stewart Lee vs The Man-Wulf.

The Lonewolves have a notorious history dating back to the early 1980s when they were feted by music business legend Alan Horne. The band recorded for the Swamplands label that Horne set up following his success with Postcard Records, home of early releases from Orange Juice, Aztec Camera, Josef K and the Go Betweens.

Prior to his performance at The Ferret, Ajay will appear at Action Records for a special free in-store event starting at 3pm. This will include a Q&A session with Steve Barker, the respected local DJ and host of underground music show On the Wire.The line-up for the show at The Ferret is completed by the superb East Lancashire rock n roll quartet Walter Mitty’s Head and a new act from Yorkshire, Palace Thieves. Michael Fenton will DJ 60s RnB between the acts.
