More than 2,500 council seats were up for grabs across 107 local authorities in England. Mayoral elections took place in East Midlands, Greater Manchester, the Liverpool City Region, North East, South Yorkshire, West Midlands, West Yorkshire, York and North Yorkshire, London and Salford.
