A player linked with a move to Preston North End in the January transfer window is likely to be available again.
Last year Preston North End were being linked with Isaac Hayden - who now has ‘no future’ at Newcastle United, according to a report. Hayden was linked with a move to Deepdale - along with several other Championship clubs - before ending up on loan at Queens Park Rangers. The 29-year-old made 17 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops, helping them to secure survival under Marti Cifuentes.
Birmingham City, Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn Rovers were said to be interested a couple of months ago - in a player who has just shy of 120 appearances in the Premier League, as well as 82 in the Championship. Back in January, first-team manager Ryan Lowe admitted that he would have 'loved' to have signed him, but ultimately North End ended up recruiting no one in the winter transfer window.
