Fed up residents in the Fishwick area of Preston have voiced their anger and frustration over the state of their neighbourhood, where syringes and condoms are frequently found littering the streets.

Iffat Ayub, another resident, observed: "Sometimes I see groups of men sitting down on a wall near my home." To further combat anti-social behaviour, such as window smashing, Preston Council could decide to implement a public spaces protection . Since their introduction in 2014, they have been instrumental in tackling various forms of antisocial behaviour that negatively impact residents' quality of life.
