Working as a cost and project manager she’s overseen all manner of projects from the restoration project at Carlisle Catherdral to the building of Gloucester Services for the group which operates Tebay.Kate is a fully qualified chartered quantity surveyor and has worked in the construction industry for more than 30 years, both in the public and private sector. She became a partner at FWP in 2008 after being promoted to associate in 2005.
“It’s been great to have worked on projects in so many diverse areas, from sensitive and complex conservation sites such as Carlisle Cathedral to the building of modern state-of-the-art sporting facilities, such as the £32m grandstand at Doncaster racecourse. “Each project we work on is different and comes with its own particular challenges that have to be overcome. That problem solving is what makes the work we do so interesting. It is also very much a team effort.”To mark her 25 years of service Kate was presented with a gift by FWP managing director David Robinson.“She has been a fantastic asset to the practice, working on many of our high-profile projects particularly in horse racing.
“Her first scheme was at Haydock back in 1998, and she has worked on projects at Doncaster, Chester and York in the period since. It’s great she’s celebrating 25 years with FWP.”
