The historic building is to be repaired and transformed under newly submitted plans
New plans which could finally restore and re-open Preston's Park Hotel will also hundreds of homes added to the site.
The same application seeks to create a new path leading to Avenham and Miller Park and add two major structures to site, with a total of 354 apartments spread across two blocks. If approved, one of those buildings will reach eight storeys in height while the other will be 10 storeys.The iconic building has sat empty for several years and has fallen into an increasingly poor state due to both vandalism and deterioration.
"This will involve careful attention to detail, using high-quality materials and techniques that are sympathetic to the building's original design. The aim is to retain as much of the original character and charm as possible, whilst also bringing it up to modern standards of comfort and sustainability."
