Lancashire schools once rated as outstanding are seeing their ratings plummet as a result of an exemption from Ofsted inspections.

In particular, pupils’ behaviour and their personal development are not good enough. Leaders have recently raised expectations about what is acceptable behaviour in school. They have improved the systems for managing behaviour. However, some pupils told inspectors that staff do not apply the new systems consistently well.
