Dr Annemarie McAllister will lead the session and there’s an opportunity for attendees to design their own pledge using items from the UCLan archives.The Preston Pledge talk takes place on Tuesday from 6pm to 7pm and you need to register viaA second event, called Making Yourself at Home in a New Place, sees UCLan archaeologist Rick Peterson explore migration, people and objects in the North West from 11,000 to 6,000 years ago.
Rick takes audiences back to prehistoric Lancashire and Cumbria to see how pottery, clothing and food were used. Rick said: “We will be examining how making and using things can help people feel at home in a new place. “The session will include an opportunity to have a go at prehistoric pottery making so please come prepared to get a little bit messy.”
