Presumed Innocent was renewed for a second season in July.
Peter Sarsgaard, renowned for his role as deputy chief prosecutor Tommy Molto in Presumed Innocent, has confirmed he will not be gracing the Apple TV+ drama with his presence in its upcoming second season.
His co-star Peter, whose impressive CV boasts roles in The Batman, Dopesick, and The Lost Daughter, won't feature in the latest instalment of the legal saga scheduled following its renewal back in July. With Apple TV+ indicating that the show's follow-up will pivot to a "brand new case" it seems unlikely that fans will see the return of Jake Gyllenhaal and other key cast members including Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, O-T Fagbenle, and Renate Reinsve, reports the Express.
In an interview with IndieWire, Peter reflected on the transient nature of his career, saying: "I tell my kids this sometimes, maybe I've done 90, 100 different things over the years between movies, TV shows, and plays.""There's a very valuable thing in saying goodbye because then you have to look for another source of inspiration and then you change."
